Color Palette: Formal Garden

Green, gold and cream make up this formal color palette. I envision an event in a formal garden with incredible elegant details. Perhaps gold velvet chairs at the head table and luxurious linens on the tables.

Color Palette: Spring Green, Apricot and Cream

A few weeks ago I received my new issue of Pointe Magazine and fell in love with the color on the cover. Maria Riccetto’s dress, along with the background color is just about as fun and spring-y as you can get. This color palette was inspired by the cover of Pointe, located in the top center of the color palette. As I was making this palette, I decided to throw little hints of gray into the mix just to see how I liked it, and I think that would be a definite option for an added color to this palette. What do you think?

Color Palette: Cream, Grey and Black

Inspired by the image in the top left corner, this board is all about a formal black tie affair. I envision a violinest playing during the ceremony and sit down dinner, men in tuxedos and the women in long formal dresses, the bride in a full lavish gown with ruffles down the back.

For this color palette I was completely inspired by vintage pearls. I combined the creamy color of pearls with soft pink and elegant gold for a timeless and classic look.

Color Palette: Mustard Yellow and Blue

Springtime on the Central Coast of California brings many beautiful flowers into bloom. One in particular covers entire hillsides and is incredibly beautiful. It’s call mustard, and it’s actually a weed but when it grows together in mass amounts it makes for some beautiful landscapes. This palette was inspired by the color of the yellow hillsides against the beautiful blue sky.

Color Palette: Soft Grey, Black and Mint

Grey can sometimes be thought of as a modern color, but here it’s very feminine when paired with a mint green, light pink and black. The black adds a bit of classic style to an otherwise whimsical palette.
