    Vintage Deco Wedding Invitation

Posted in: BLOG CATEGORIES, COLOR PALETTE, Cream, Grey, inspiration, invitation clients, invitations, Purple, Season: Winter, Silver, Theme: Glamour, Theme: Vintage

As soon as I met with Sarah I knew we were going to have an amazing time working together. Not only is she a super fun person, her wedding style was right up my alley! Vintage 1920′s, minus the flapper. Sarah said she didn’t want her guests to think they had to show up wearing derby hats, which I loved. In essence, capture the era, minus the fashion. Sarah’s colors were cream, dark eggplant and shades of grey with hints of silver…

Sarah’s invitation goes on the list of my favorites from 2011. With foil stamping, laser cutting, a custom map and vintage photograph from Santa Barbara, it was truly a sight to behold.

The invitation itself was silver foiled, which looked so amazing on the charcoal paper we used. The map was hand drawn by Sarah’s aunt! Stunning with such amazing details!

The image on Sarah’s reply card, was an actual vintage photo taken at one of Santa Barbara’s beautiful beaches.

Custom stamps completed the look of this glamorous invitation suite. In addition to the invitation, I also designed table numbers, menus, thank you notes, and bridesmaid invitations for Sarah.

Love this rustic chic meets high glamour color palette. I can envision a totally glamorous wedding complete with candle light and chandeliers in an old barn or building on a farmstead.

Color Palette: Gray and Apple Green

Posted in: COLOR PALETTE, Green, Grey, Season: Fall, Season: Spring, Season: Summer, Season: Winter, Silver, Theme: Modern, White

When paired together, green and gray can make an elegant combination with a hint of modern. Green apples are a nice, budget friendly way to add color to your decor and clippings of bright green foliage work well in bud vases. I love the idea of using silver candelabras to fancy the decor up a bit, however this color scheme can also be played down to a more casual affair as well.

Color Palette: Peachy-pink, Warm White and Silver

Posted in: COLOR PALETTE, Cream, Peach, Pink, Season: Spring, Season: Winter, Silver, Theme: Glamour, Theme: Romantic, Theme: Vintage, Theme: Whimsy, White

Peach is such a versatile color when it comes to weddings. It can be used as more of an apricot color, or toned down to a peachy-pink, as is used here. I’ve added a warm creamy white and silver to compliment this color, perfect for a spring or winter wedding.

Color Palette: Ivory, White and Beige

Posted in: Champagne, COLOR PALETTE, Cream, Season: Fall, Season: Winter, Silver, Theme: Classic, Theme: Glamour, Theme: Romantic, Theme: Vintage, White

This color palette would look beautiful with just about any accent color (soft pink, vintage yellow, navy blue…). It could also stand on it’s own and be a more muted color palette with touches of sparkle and elegance, or toned down for an organic vintage celebration.

Color Palette: Lilac, Light Pink and Silver

Posted in: Pink, Purple, Season: Summer, Season: Winter, Silver, Theme: Classic, Theme: Fun, Theme: Romantic, Theme: Whimsy, White

This color palette is for one of our readers. She is planning a Christmas time wedding and wanted to use lilac, light pink and silver as her colors. Below is the board I created for her with a few reception decor ideas for her celebration.

    A few reception ideas
    - A fun way to incorporate the silver into your reception decor would be to use vintage silver pitchers or other silver wares. You could put flowers in them, or just group them together.

    - I’ve always loved elegant candelabras. These could go on dinner tables, or around the room for a romantic candle light effect.

    - Placing a flower, or small arrangement at each place setting helps to decorate the table and make each setting a little special.

Color Palette: Glamorous Black, Silver and Light Pink

Posted in: Black, COLOR PALETTE, Pink, Season: Spring, Season: Winter, Silver, Theme: Glamour, Theme: Romantic, Theme: Vintage

Romantic and glamorous are words that come to mind for today’s color palette. Pink, black and silver can help create a beautiful, romantic event, perfect for a vintage hotel or a beautiful English garden. For this color palette I can envision centerpieces of flowers and feathers and beautiful candlelight, classical music played by a string quartet playing in the background and delightful delicate food to munch on.
