Ravishing Red

The color of love, red is bold and bright and can definitely stand on it’s own. It’s always been my favorite color (my office is painted red). I’m loving weddings that have a main color palette of, say, black and white with just little hints of red. Enjoy the inspiration for red weddings below.

Sultry Jewel Tones

Paired with muted colors or making a statement on their own, these colors are sure to get more attention this year. I love them not only for weddings, but interior design as well. That bedroom pictured bottom left, by Kishani Perera, is absolutely to die for.

Color Palette: Pink, Wine, Yellow and Green

Pink and green is a fairly preppy color combination, however, when you add soft yellow and wine red into the mix, it makes for an elegant affair. I love this color combination, especially this particular shade of pink paired with the wine, and the green and yellow really complete the mix.

Color Palette: Aqua, Orange, Red and Peach

Color Palette: Dark Red, Light Green with Apricot and Plum accents

This color palette is for one of our readers, Amber. She writes:

I am looking for a fall color scheme that will work with my red hair I have very bright red hair and love the idea of using lots of fall colors, but am afraid I will start to look like a pumpkin or our large wedding party will just look funny. I am almost 30 and want a look that will be elegant and a little sexy, can you help?

For Amber, we decided to go with dark red and light green as her main colors, with apricot and plum accents.
I envision the bridesmaids in dark red dresses with green and red bouquets, such as the bouquet in the color palette. Amber’s bouquet could be a combination of red, green, apricot and plum to pull all the colors together. To incorporate the “sexy”, shoes as well as the chosen dresses can help the event be more “sexy”. Also, I think the darker the colors make for a sexier event.
To incorporate the colors into the reception, I love the inspiration picture in the color palette by Details Event Planning. The plum colored tent looks beautiful against the accent colors on the tables. I also love the idea of incorporating fruit into the decor. Since most of these colors are fruit colors (red apples, green pears, plum plums and apricot apricots) its a great way to use the accent colors.

Color Palette: Red, Gold and White

Like I have said before, I am so into the color gold right now! When paired with red and white it is so incredibly striking. Add some black into the mix and you have yourself one stunning mix of colors. I love this color palette for a totally elegant winter wedding with just the right amount of glamour.
