Art deco, a period of streamlined simplicity and bold shapes and patterns, has always been by far one of my favorite time periods in art history. One of our newest ready made collection invitations, Deco, is inspired by all things from the art deco era. Below is our inspiration for the piece and the invitation.

Green, gold and cream make up this formal color palette. I envision an event in a formal garden with incredible elegant details. Perhaps gold velvet chairs at the head table and luxurious linens on the tables.

A few weeks ago I received my new issue of Pointe Magazine and fell in love with the color on the cover. Maria Riccetto’s dress, along with the background color is just about as fun and spring-y as you can get. This color palette was inspired by the cover of Pointe, located in the top center of the color palette. As I was making this palette, I decided to throw little hints of gray into the mix just to see how I liked it, and I think that would be a definite option for an added color to this palette. What do you think?

Inspired by the image in the top right corner, I envision an event full of fun and color; muted color that is. A while back we did our color predictions for the year, and Muted Brights was one of our predictions. I still love the pairing of toned down bright colors, and think they are perfect for an event any time of the year.

Springtime is one of the most beautiful times of year. Blossoms blooming everywhere make for beautiful backdrops for weddings and pictures. This color palette was inspired by the top left image. I’m envisioning an event taking place among incredible white blooming trees and shrubs, luxurious linens on the tables with padded rustic garden chairs. All white florals as not to compete with the surroundings, with accents of pink on the bridesmaids and perhaps on the china and favors. Something formal, yet casual all at the same time.

When paired together, green and gray can make an elegant combination with a hint of modern. Green apples are a nice, budget friendly way to add color to your decor and clippings of bright green foliage work well in bud vases. I love the idea of using silver candelabras to fancy the decor up a bit, however this color scheme can also be played down to a more casual affair as well.

Soft and utterly romantic, this color palette would be perfect for a Spring time celebration. Throw in some gold or silver to make it a little more formal.
