    Color Palette: Venetian Glamour

Posted in: Black, COLOR PALETTE, Champagne, Gold, Grey, Rust, Season: Fall, Season: Winter, Theme: Glamour, Theme: Romantic

I have a complete fascination with Venice and Italy in general, so I was very excited to create this inspiration board/color palette. I think a combination of grayish white, red, gold and black would be wonderful here, and not compete with the surrounding of extraordinary colors.

Color Palette: Ivory, White and Beige

Posted in: COLOR PALETTE, Champagne, Cream, Season: Fall, Season: Winter, Silver, Theme: Classic, Theme: Glamour, Theme: Romantic, Theme: Vintage, White

This color palette would look beautiful with just about any accent color (soft pink, vintage yellow, navy blue…). It could also stand on it’s own and be a more muted color palette with touches of sparkle and elegance, or toned down for an organic vintage celebration.

    Color Palette: Plum and Champagne

Posted in: COLOR PALETTE, Champagne, Purple, Season: Fall, Season: Spring, Season: Summer, Season: Winter, Theme: Classic, Theme: Romantic

For some reason I have always thought that purple was a hard color to pair with anything. However, I proved myself wrong in this color palette. I LOVE these colors for a wedding! Perfect for a winery celebration, a wedding in the country, or dress it up for a formal affair in the city. These colors paired together are really versatile!

    Color Palette: Black and Champagne

Posted in: Black, COLOR PALETTE, Champagne, Season: Fall, Season: Winter, Theme: Classic, Theme: Glamour, Theme: Romantic, Theme: Vintage

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday! I thought we would start back with a color palette.
Inspired by the photo of Jessica Stam on the bottom row middle, this color palette is all about simple glamour. These colors would be beautiful for an elegant winter wedding. You could also throw just about any color in with these two colors and get a beautiful combination!

Color Palette: Champagne, Charcoal and White

Posted in: COLOR PALETTE, Champagne, Grey, Season: Fall, Season: Winter, Theme: Classic, Theme: Glamour, Theme: Romantic, White

This color palette has to be one of my favorites. It has such a unique and classic look and I love the muted palette of white and champagne with the pop of charcoal. This palette would be perfect for a classy fall or elegant winter wedding.

And oh yes, this is our 100th post!! Thanks to all my wonderful readers! You are what keeps me posting. =)

Color Palette: Vintage Glamour with Brown, Champagne and Red

Posted in: Brown, COLOR PALETTE, Champagne, Red, Season: Fall, Season: Winter, Theme: Glamour, Theme: Vintage

Today’s color palette is for another one of our readers, Linda. Linda is getting married in a beautiful church and having her reception at an equally beautiful club. Linda wanted a color palette with shades of brown and champagne with pops of red. She also wanted to incorporate a vintage feel into her wedding, similar to the vintage feel her engagement ring has. Here are my ideas for Linda, and the color palette I designed for her.
    Ideas for the ceremony:
Bridesmaids: I can see them in elegant, long brown dresses, such as the one pictured in the color palette, with faux fur wraps such as these. (picture from here)

Their flowers can be similar to the bouquet pictured in the color palette at the top. You can change the dark flowers to red, or to incorporate pops of red into the ceremony you can wrap the stems of the bouquets in red ribbon.
Bride (Linda): I can see Linda in a dress similar to the one in the color palette, minus the hat. Her flowers can be like the bridesmaid’s bouquets but slightly altered to include maybe a little more red, or no red at all. I can see the stems of her bouquet wrapped in crystals, or with a crystal monogram. Something sparkly to give it a little glamour.
    For the reception:
I envisioned champagne colored table cloths with brown napkins and red floral centerpieces, such as the flowers located in the bottom portion of the color palette. To continue with the vintage theme, the floral centerpieces can be placed on faux fur and the faux fur can be sprinkled with swarovski crystals, again to give it a little glamour. Faux fur can be purchased here, or you can search for it at your local fabric stores. Linda’s reception site reminded me somewhat of the club from the movie The Aviator. Here is a picture from the movie, taken in the fictional club. (Picture from here) Linda could also do something like the picture, and have little lamps on each table to give the setting a more intimate feel. If you haven’t seen The Aviator, I would recommend watching it just for the sets and costumes; they are SO neat and very vintage.

Last but not least, here is the color palette I designed for Linda. I hope this can help her get an idea of what she wants and plan a gorgeous glamorous event!
