There are some really wonderful semi new wedding blogs out there, as well as some older ones, that we really adore and can’t get enough of. Below are some of our favorite “endless inspiration” sites to visit.

    100 Layer Cake
Written by Jillian, Amanda, and Kristina, this blog is all about simply beautiful wedding details! Their blog design is so feminine and fresh and each post is full of amazing inspiration. Whether its a real wedding, DIY details or fashion, 100 Layer Cake is sure to please!

    Kiss the Groom
Developed by the incomparable Elizabeth Messina, this sweet blog is where you can find amazing photography, all by Elizabeth. Real weddings, beautiful vendors and perfect details are just some of the features you’ll find at Kiss the Groom. You can also make a kissing tree to send to anyone you think might deserve a kiss.

    Skog as in Vogue
Another amazing photographer, Jennifer Skog, also maintains a beautiful blog with absolutely breathtaking real weddings. If you like to look at amazing photography, this is the place!

    Jasmine Star Blog
Another favorite photographer, Jasmine Star. Her blog is full of her photography of weddings, e-sessions and personal things, such as adorable shots of her dog! Jasmine is also a great writer, and following her blog is like a little journal of her life.

    The Wedding Chicks
Well known in the blog world, The Wedding Chicks is a great blog with all things wedding, including beautiful real weddings.

    Bridal Soup
New to the blogging world, Bridal Soup is a UK based wedding blog featuring pure wedding inspiration. Written by two talented photographers, this blog is definitely one to keep an eye on!

    Bandelle Blog
My all time favorite feature on this incredible blog would be the “Double Take” posts. Writer Kylie takes a room from a movie, and creates the same look for those of us on a budget, or who simply can’t seem to find a particular piece from a certain set!

Last night I received some wonderful news from Rebekah and Ami of Elizabeth Anne Designs. They wanted to announce the grand openening of the Elizabeth Anne Designs Library!

Here is what they have to say:
We are incredibly excited to announce our new project, The EAD Library. After months of development and research, we are launching a new resource for brides tomorrow, Tuesday July 22nd. The Library is filled with hundreds of useful links, from photographers to shops to stationers. Our goal is a simple, comprehensive list of vendors. The Library will help every bride, no matter her location, find the vendors and inspiration she needs for a beautiful event.
Be sure to check it out!! Zenadia Design is privileged to be included in this comprehensive library under stationery. What a wonderful resource for brides!

Wedding websites have become a popular addition to wedding planning, and with good reason. These handy sites are great for conveying a bulk information and can help save you money on your wedding invitations by minimizing the amount of inserts you include. You can also have your guests r.s.v.p directly to the website which can save on postage.
Here are some really wonderful tips from Emily Post for wedding websites or Wed-Sites as she calls them. They can also be found here.

Your Web page should represent you as a couple. Take the time to develop a design and content that you are both comfortable with – one that reflects your personal aesthetic style.

Electronic RSVPs. If you plan to let people RSVP on your site, simply add a printed sentence at the bottom of your reply card sent with your invitation saying, “You may also reply by way of our wedding Web site: www.happycouple.com.”

Don’t list your Web site on your invitation. This may be tempting, but refrain. There are plenty of other ways to let people know about the site, such as including the Web address on other items enclosed in the invitation packet, such as the response card or maps.

Keep it Simple. A few well-designed pages will speak volumes.

Keep personal info private. Some pre-designed Web templates prompt you to type in personal details such as when you shared your first kiss, what you did on your first date, and so on. This may be good fodder for the bachelor(ette) party, but there is no need to share such intimate moments with your entire guest list – and anyone else who may stumble across your site. Keep your postings tasteful and inclusive.

Don’t put the emphasis on gift registries. It is fine to post links to various on-line gift registries on your home page. This is one of the conveniences of your site. It is important to strike a balance between discretion and a desire to make things easier for your guests. Place such links to the side of the page in modestly sized type.

Don’t overlook your unwired guests. Remember, not everyone has ready access to the Internet. If you know that a certain invited guest is not connected to the Web, be sure to send hard copies of any pertinent information.

After the wedding. You can use your site after the wedding to post wedding and honeymoon pictures, anecdotes and a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all. This thank you does not replace the individual thank you notes that must be handwritten.

Not all wedding websites are free, however Wedding Channel and The Knot provide step-by-step instructions for designing your own free Web page, reachable through their Web addresses.
