Classic Real Wedding and Invitation

I’m so excited to share this beautiful real wedding with you from my client’s Meredith and Brian who were married on July 9th! Meredith loved an invitation she had seen on my website and wanted to customize it a little bit for her own wedding. She loved the architecture of the church and wanted to incorporate that onto the invitation somehow. I’m always fascinated by the beautiful circular windows that a lot of churches have. They are all so different, yet with the same elements. I love that about them. I thought it would be fun to incorporate the window from the church they were to be married in, onto their reply card and belly band.

For their programs, in keeping along the lines with the architecture of the church, we did a fun die cut shape so the program was actually a church window. Their programs were another one of my favorites. Loved the end result!

This set of images is so incredibly sweet.

Meredith and Brian’s ceremony venue was the absolutely beautiful St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Dallas Texas. In the image below you can see the window that I incorporated onto the stationery.

The reception was held at Arlington Hall at Lee Park. The chandeliers in this venue are absolutely stunning, as you’ll see in some of the shots coming up.

Always love seeing people out on the dance floor having fun.

Locations to Love: Vibiana, Los Angeles

Built in 1876, Vibiana was once a fully functional Catholic cathedral until it suffered minor damage in the 1994 Northridge earthquake. After the earthquake, it was deemed unsafe and was on the brink of being completely destroyed when a group of Los Angeles conservationists rallied to save it. It now stands today completely restored and utterly beautiful in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.

Lovely Lavender

According to aromatherapy books, lavender can be an incredibly calming and relaxing scent. Not only is it calming, it’s also a lovely flower dried or live. Including lavender in your wedding decor is a beautiful and budget friendly way to add charm and elegance to your celebration. I think one of the most picturesque places for a wedding celebration is a lavender farm. California has several popping up here and there that are simply beautiful. One in particular caught my eye, Keys Creek Lavender Farm. Located in San Diego County, this farm is certified USDA Organic, which I love! Located on 8 acres of land, it features more than two dozen varieties of lavender, a labyrinth and bee hives where lavender honey is made. Talk about a some beautiful wedding photos! A Charming Wedding at the Cass House Inn

Located in the historic seaside town of Cayucos, California, The Cass House Inn and Restaurant has a rich and vibrant history that spans more than 140 years. The town of Cayucos was originally founded by Captain James Cass in the 1800′s and this house served as the hub of all cultural and social life in Cayucos. This wedding, shot by Jen Rodriguez, is completely beautiful with charming organic chic style. I love the flowers, done by Manzanita Designs, and details throughout the event, not to mention the charming location. All the incredible looking food was done by The Cass House Inn.

Hahn Estate is a beautiful estate set on 10 acres of incredibly immaculate grounds. Reminiscent of a European chateau, the estate has many terraces and courtyards with a decadent old world feel. While I couldn’t find any images of the estate itself, the following wedding’s that took place there are completely breathtaking.

Locations to Love…Figueroa Hotel, Los Angeles

Exotic, warm and completely Moroccan, Figueroa Hotel is a prime location for weddings and events of any kind. I am completely in love with the overall feel of this amazing hotel, located in downtown Los Angeles. Just looking for a weekend getaway? Their guest suites and rooms whisk you away to exotic places without ever leaving Los Angeles. Opened in 1925, the Figueroa Hotel was a YWCA before it turned into a hotel after the Depression. Their website is full of amazing pictures of the location, I simply couldn’t feature them all here. Definitely check it out.

Built in 1912 and surrounded by 12 acres of lush gardens, The Beverly Hills hotel gives the feeling of old Hollywood without being over the top. If you are looking for a location in the heart of the city, but without the hustle and bustle, this is the location for you.

Locations to Love…The Parker, Palm Springs

Palm Spring. Glamour, romance and stylish sophistication. I have always been fascinated by the sheer magic that is Palm Springs. The Parker is one of my favorite hotels in Palm Springs; the grounds, the architecture and all that makes up this beautiful property. Here we are featuring some images of this hotel, and some of the simply beautiful weddings that have taken place at The Parker. I have to say that some of my favorite weddings have taken place in Palm Springs. They all seem to have that same chic and totally sophisticated style that Palm Springs has, and I love it!
