Real Wedding: Cari and Jared

I had the pleasure of working with Cari and Jared on their wedding day signs, and I had so much fun working with them! Cari is a total sweetheart, and when she sent me her wedding pictures, taken by the brilliant Joy Marie Photography, I was completely in awe. I love everything about Cari’s wedding from the flowers to the awesome location, and Joy’s talent is simply incredible. Her images are full of life, love, and incredible compositions. Color Done Right

A while back 100 Layer Cake featured this wedding, photographed by Michele M. Waite, and I have to say it’s one of my favorite weddings to date simply because of the way the color scheme was done. The bride, Melanie, wanted a wedding that was bright and vibrant, but also soft and timeless. I love how she put the wedding party in fun and vibrant colors…

…and used soft muted tones for the reception…

You would think that these colors might clash, but on the contrary, it’s quite stunning! This just goes to show that you don’t have to have one set color scheme for both your ceremony and reception. I hope we see a growing trend of multiple color schemes for weddings. It’s such fun and definitely keeps things fun for the guests.

Real Wedding: Hayley and Cameron

Last year I had the pleasure of working with Hayley and Cameron on their wedding invitations, and they were such a delight to work with! They chose one of Zenadia Design’s existing invitation designs, and we went to work making it custom for them. Hayley recently sent me some of her wedding pictures and I am so delighted to share them with you today! The wedding took place in Australia, where Hayley and Cameron are from, at Stones of the Yarra Valley, a beautiful vineyard with a chapel and fully restored and renovated barn. Hayley’s friend was the photographer, and Hayley and Cameron made the cake themselves. The cake was extra special to them because it was Hayley’s nan’s recipe, and the cake topper was from her nan’s cake. Below are some shots from the big day. Enjoy!

Locations to Love: Vibiana, Los Angeles

Built in 1876, Vibiana was once a fully functional Catholic cathedral until it suffered minor damage in the 1994 Northridge earthquake. After the earthquake, it was deemed unsafe and was on the brink of being completely destroyed when a group of Los Angeles conservationists rallied to save it. It now stands today completely restored and utterly beautiful in the heart of downtown Los Angeles.

Real Wedding by Minoo Hersini

This beautiful wedding, photographed by Stefanie Jasper and Paul Sky, took place at a boutique hotel/house called Blantyre in Lenox, Massachusetts. Planned and styled by Minoo Hersini of Au Ciel Design Studio, this lavish wedding included custom table cloths made in Italy, vintage china and silverware supplied by the venue, and stunning floral designs by Minoo.

Remember the invitation we posted about on Monday? Here is a little refresher in case you forgot…

Well when Jean sent me the images from her wedding, captured by the utterly brilliant Ben Chrisman and Erin Reed of Ben Chrisman Photography I was awe struck. Ben and Erin’s talent for capturing emotion is beyond words. You can feel the fun, happiness and excitement coming off these images. I’ve never seen a wedding captured quite like this, and I LOVE it. This wedding has been featured on Junebug Weddings, here and here, but I wanted to share a few more of the amazing images with you. (Ok let’s be honest here, I couldn’t pick just a few!) A Charming Wedding at the Cass House Inn

Located in the historic seaside town of Cayucos, California, The Cass House Inn and Restaurant has a rich and vibrant history that spans more than 140 years. The town of Cayucos was originally founded by Captain James Cass in the 1800’s and this house served as the hub of all cultural and social life in Cayucos. This wedding, shot by Jen Rodriguez, is completely beautiful with charming organic chic style. I love the flowers, done by Manzanita Designs, and details throughout the event, not to mention the charming location. All the incredible looking food was done by The Cass House Inn.

Hahn Estate is a beautiful estate set on 10 acres of incredibly immaculate grounds. Reminiscent of a European chateau, the estate has many terraces and courtyards with a decadent old world feel. While I couldn’t find any images of the estate itself, the following wedding’s that took place there are completely breathtaking.
