Joy Proctor of Joy De Vivre Wedding Coordination is another incredible talent I admire from Santa Barbara, California. Her calm and fun personality immediately puts you at ease and she is such fun to be around! Her events are impeccably styled with no detail left out. She has a great eye for color and what works well together. Joy has recently been featured on Ruffled Blog, Style Me Pretty and Wedding Chicks.

For a lot of brides, what to include in your ceremony program is some what of a mystery. I get a lot of clients asking what they should or should not include in their wedding day programs. I always tell them they can basically include whatever they wish, with as little or as much information as they deem necessary. Below is a basic guideline of what to include in your program.

    JMPro

    Your name
    The date of the wedding
    Location of the ceremony
    Wedding Participants
    Parents of the Bride
    Parents of the Groom
    Grandparents of the Bride
    Grandparents of the Groom
    Maid of Honor
    Best Man
    Bridesmaids
    Groomsmen
    Flower Girls
    Officiant

    Order of the Ceremony

Prelude (list music if you wish)
    Seating of Mothers
Processional (list music if you wish)
    Opening words
    Readings
    Wedding Vows
    Exchange of Rings
    Pronouncement
    Blessing
Recessional (list music if you wish)

You may also want to include the following:

Note of thanks from the Bride and Groom

    Dedications
How long you have known each person in your bridal party.

Utterly Engaged, the new e-zine by Eva Chiou of Red Velvet Occasions, and Lucia Dinh and Henny Setiadi of D*LSH Design, is a definite must read. Although I am a huge fan of the, dare I say old fashioned, magazine, this e-zine has an amazing layout, and wonderful tips for the budget savvy bride. Just take a look at some of the features from Issue #2.

Definitely add this to your list of good reads.

This beautiful table-scape was done by a collaboration of Studio Wed Atlanta vendors to showcase seasonal trends. All photography is by Blue World Studios. I love the colors and the use of fruit in the design. If you have been reading this blog for a while, you know by now I am a huge fan of using fruit in decor!

    Vendors:
Photography & Lighting: Blue World Studios
    Table Design: Lemiga Events
    Stationery: Luxe Expressions

I’m excited to announce the grand opening of Studio Wed in Atlanta, Georgia! For brides in the area, this sounds like a wonderful planning resource! Be sure to check it out if you are in the area. Here is a little bit about what Studio Wed offers:

StudioWed Atlanta located in trendy Midtown West (1000 Marietta St,
Suite 124, Atlanta, GA), is an exclusive collection of wedding vendors
representing the finest wedding professionals that service the Atlanta
area. This is a hip and revolutionary concept in local and destination
weddings in Atlanta: a stylish and sophisticated planning studio where
the area’s best vendors come to you. Meet with a photographer over
coffee in the morning and enjoy a glass of wine as you chat with a
florist in the afternoon. Best of all, there’s no cost to you to use
StudioWed’s services, so you can feel free to spend an entire day –
or as many as you need — planning your big day.

β€œIt is my goal with the studio to streamline the wedding planning
process and be a resource for engaged couples. I find that brides are
quickly overwhelmed with the number of vendors in the marketplace and
the time it takes to drive all over the city to meet with these
vendors. StudioWed offers couples a haven to find quality vendors and
resources for planning their wedding.” ~Michelle Gainey
