I had the pleasure of working with Cari and Jared on their wedding day signs, and I had so much fun working with them! Cari is a total sweetheart, and when she sent me her wedding pictures, taken by the brilliant Joy Marie Photography, I was completely in awe. I love everything about Cari’s wedding from the flowers to the awesome location, and Joy’s talent is simply incredible. Her images are full of life, love, and incredible compositions. Dress Shots

In most wedding celebrations dresses, like shoes, get their own personal shot. Since these shots require the dresses be hanging, sometimes it’s hard to get creative with the pictures but the good photographers seem to manage to get some incredible shots! Below are some of my favorites.

Weekend Enjoyment

Taking today off to recover from this weekend. My husband and I attended one of our best friend’s weddings and it was a whirlwind of fun! I can’t wait to share some fun pictures from their day with you. In the meantime, I have to share with you this shot that I am completely head over heels for by Christian Oth. Spanish Style

A while back I had the pleasure of collaborating on a photoshoot with Constance Curtis, of Constance Curtis Events. She was going for a vintage Spanish style look with a churro bar, which I thought was such a fun idea! I was so excited to be able to create the paper products including the signs for this shoot. For the menu, I used tea dyed lace as the trim on a Spanish style fan. My favorite pieces were the bride and groom (or novio and novia) signs. Using the trend of silhouettes, I took it a step further and used a matador and flamenco dancer, and then embellished them with lace, glitter and velvet for some texture. I also created the churro sign and Mi Amore sign used in the shoot. The first set of pictures includes what Zenadia Design created for the shoot and the following pictures are the decor and flowers. All of these pictures are from Christine Bentley but Oz Visuals was also on hand to capture some shots that day!

Constance and The Vine’s Leaf did an absoluty amazing job on the decor and flowers! I love all the different plates and can’t get enough of the colors and patterns!

Real Wedding: Jean and Michael, part II

On to part II of Jean and Michael’s amazing wedding celebration, captured by the insanely talented Ben Chrisman and Erin Reed of Ben Chrisman Photography. Again here is a little refresher of the invitation we designed for Jean and Michael.

These reception photos are completely out of this world. It’s a party just looking at them! Ben and Erin truly have a talent for capturing amazing lighting and emotion in every shot.

Remember the invitation we posted about on Monday? Here is a little refresher in case you forgot…

Well when Jean sent me the images from her wedding, captured by the utterly brilliant Ben Chrisman and Erin Reed of Ben Chrisman Photography I was awe struck. Ben and Erin’s talent for capturing emotion is beyond words. You can feel the fun, happiness and excitement coming off these images. I’ve never seen a wedding captured quite like this, and I LOVE it. This wedding has been featured on Junebug Weddings, here and here, but I wanted to share a few more of the amazing images with you. (Ok let’s be honest here, I couldn’t pick just a few!) A Charming Wedding at the Cass House Inn

Located in the historic seaside town of Cayucos, California, The Cass House Inn and Restaurant has a rich and vibrant history that spans more than 140 years. The town of Cayucos was originally founded by Captain James Cass in the 1800’s and this house served as the hub of all cultural and social life in Cayucos. This wedding, shot by Jen Rodriguez, is completely beautiful with charming organic chic style. I love the flowers, done by Manzanita Designs, and details throughout the event, not to mention the charming location. All the incredible looking food was done by The Cass House Inn.

Subtle, warm and inviting, natural light is the essence of a good picture. It can add just the right glow and a make a picture that much more pleasing to look at. A lot of photographers have capturing lighting down to a tee. Trever Hoehne is one of them. His photographs emit that incredible warmth that a lot of photographers long to capture. Not only is his wedding photography good, I am completely enamored by his “places” images. Definitely check out his website, you won’t be disappointed!

Heartfelt Love

I stumbled upon Apertura via Inspired By This, and I am so glad I did. Apertura, a photography studio based in California, captures incredibly artistic and heartfelt images. They certainly have a defining style, which is so important in this industry. They were voted as one of the Top 10 Photographers for 2009 by American Photo Magazine.
