To Veil or Not To Veil

Posted in: accessories, BLOG CATEGORIES, ceremony, fashion, Wedding Fashion

Several years ago, the thought of not wearing a veil at your wedding was considered crazy. These days, however, some brides are opting to not wear veils at all or to wear a small one for the ceremony and no veil for the reception. I have to say, I’m still a fan of veils, at least for the wedding ceremony. Veils can add drama to wedding pictures and long cathedral length veils are simply stunning when paired with a beautiful wedding gown. For receptions, I do like the stunning hair pieces though. I like the fact that you can get two different looks with the same dress, all from just changing your hair pieces. Below is some inspiration for veils vs. no veil.

    Looking Up

Posted in: BLOG CATEGORIES, ceremony, home decor, inspiration, wedding decor

The ceiling, known as the 5th wall by some, is sometimes forgotten when it comes to home and wedding decor. I am always in awe of wedding celebrations where the ceiling is used to hang something extraordinary. There are several planners who have this down to a tee. Lisa Vorce and Michelle Rago are two of them. I absolutely love how Lisa uses the “ceiling” to decorate, even when the event is outside. Below are some of my favorite images using the ceiling to decorate.

    Doggy Love

Posted in: ceremony, photography, wedding decor

For a lot of us, dogs play a major role in our lives. They are one of the family and almost like a child in the household, well, at least in my house. =)
These days dogs are becoming part of more weddings, and why not? Here are some of my favorite wedding images of dogs.

This dog looks JUST like my dog Charlie, and coincidental, this dogs name is Charlie too! Although my Charlie would likely be all over the place instead of sitting nicely like this Charlie. =)

And, silly enough, this dog looks just like Charlie’s best buddy, Achilles. =)

    Who’s bearing your ring?

    Posted in: ceremony, wedding traditions

Traditionally, the ring bearer for the wedding celebration was a little boy, usually anywhere from ages 4-8.

These days traditions are being broken and your ring bearer can be anything from your pet dog, to the best man and maid of honor.

I love the idea of including your beloved pet in the wedding celebration! After all, they are part of the family too. Just make sure they are well behaved enough. I don’t think my chocolate lab could handle all the excitement and I know he would be all over the place!

I love the idea of using flowers or, such as the picture shows, moss, in place of a ring pillow. It makes everything look so much more organic and beautiful!

How cute is this idea?! I love all the flowers they embellished the wagon with!
